Hospitals across Texas are at over 90% capacity. Infections, hospitalizations, and deaths are at record highs. And wait times for ambulances in Austin and San Antonio are at crisis levels.

Despite this, Republicans in the state legislature are wasting time and valuable resources -- they’re debating how to ban abortions, demonize trans kids, eliminate paid sick leave, and make it harder for people to vote.

Worse yet, Governor Greg Abbott is at war with schools and municipalities across Texas, fighting tooth and nail to ban mask and vaccine mandates.

It’s unconscionable. And it’s causing our state to become a laughing stock.
