Friend, did you see this?

I’m so excited to have John Mott on board as our new Deputy Political Director. Under his leadership, we’re moving full speed ahead with our strategy to organize in every county and community in Texas -- because that’s what it’s going to take to defeat Greg Abbott in 2022.

Republicans have given us reason after reason to vote them the hell out of office. They’re not slowing down in attacking Texans -- but we’re not slowing down in fighting back. We’re laying the groundwork to register up to 2 million new voters, we’re mobilizing Texans from Galveston to El Paso, and we’re standing up against Abbott’s harmful policies -- from the legislature to D.C. to the courts.

Friend, we’ve got 14 months till the 2022 elections, and Texas Democrats are already kicking into high gear. Defeating Greg Abbott is going to take a long, sustained, concerted effort from all of us -- but the sooner we pull together and start pushing forward, the better a shot we’re going to have. Will you help kickstart that effort right now, and chip in $7 or whatever you can to our Texas Democratic Fight Fund today?

Hi Friend,

I just finished up my second week at the Texas Democratic Party, and I’ve already gotten off to a running start directing the work of the Regional Political Managers and helping local Democrats across the state build power in their home communities. I’m John Mott -- the new Deputy Political Director at the Texas Democratic Party -- and I’m excited to tell you more about our statewide organizing strategy, and how we’re fighting to defeat Texas Republicans in 2022.

While I’ve spent the last few years supporting Democrats in my hometown of McKinney, Texas, I’m so excited to be stepping into this new role because it’s a chance to directly impact Democrats across the entire state. It’s my goal to make sure that Democrats all over Texas get the support they need to move the needle and win elections. In order to make that happen, we’re counting on you to chip in $7 or whatever you can to support our efforts to elect Democrats across Texas.

Friend, being a Texas Democrat is in my blood. My grandpa was a Democratic precinct chair and an election judge in my hometown. He taught me the importance of civic engagement at a young age, and I’ll never forget putting Ann Richards campaign signs in my neighbors’ yards when I was just a kid. From managing my uncle’s city council race to pushing both my wife and mom to become precinct chairs, we’re a yellow-dog Democrat family through and through.

While I’ve spent the better part of 20 years practicing law all around the state, Trump’s election in 2016 spurred me to get back into politics, and make turning Texas blue my full-time focus. I’ve managed campaigns for several Democratic candidates here in Collin County and even ran for city council myself in 2019. I’ve witnessed firsthand the difference our state party can make in helping local candidates gain ground -- and win. So right now, my goal is to ensure that every Democratic candidate in all 254 counties gets the support they need to be the change we want to see in our state. Every county matters. Every candidate matters. And every vote counts.

Right now, Texas Democrats are fighting harder than ever to fend off Republican attacks on our voting rights, healthcare, and education. But at the end of day, the only way to stop Republicans and build a better, bluer Texas is to elect Democrats across the state. Whether it's North Texas, South Texas, East Texas, or West Texas -- we’re fighting to elect Democrats up and down the ballot in every part of our state. And we can’t do it without you. Chip in $7 to join the fight today:
