Last week, we learned the Supreme Court is reviewing its biggest reproductive freedom case since two new justices were added to the bench -- and it has the potential to completely overturn Roe v. Wade.

We could see this coming: Anti-choice state legislators in states across the country have led an all-out assault on reproductive rights. They've advanced at least 26 abortion bans in 2019 and even more restrictions intentionally designed to create a court battle over Roe like the one that is now in front of the Supreme Court.

The restriction at the center of the Supreme Court case is medically unnecessary and could force clinics across the country to close and could leave millions of women without access to the health care they need.

If the Supreme Court allows this restriction to stand, it would be breaking with its own precedent. That's because the court already struck down a similar law in 2016.
