Cable TV news is riveted with images of storm surges, massive flooding,
and damage from Hurricane Ida.

Yet in all the wall-to-wall coverage in the corporate media, there's
almost no mention of what's really driving it: climate crisis and
humanity's refusal to give up fossil fuels.

Hurricane Ida is the "poster child" for the climate emergency--and the
hurricane season is just getting started. There are five new storms
forming in the Atlantic right now .

The corporate media won't denounce Big Oil or the world's other biggest
climate polluters because they are among their biggest advertisers. Too
many politicians won't say it because their campaign coffers are
overflowing with fossil fuel industry money.

This is why we need nonprofit, independent media that will tell the
truth about the climate emergency. But we're running out of time to
