John, I want to tell you about one of my FAVORITE candidates we’ve endorsed in Virginia this year: Missy Cotter Smasal.

Missy served as an officer in the United States Navy, and owned and operated a successful small business in Virginia Beach for 10 years.

She got involved in politics after her daughter started elementary school in 2017 and she discovered that Virginia Beach Elementary Schools did not lock their front doors during the day.

She was concerned, so she started a petition and collected over 2,500 signatures to present to the school board. A year later, schools across the city are now locked, with cameras and buzzers installed to help better protect our kids.

Missy gets work done. And that’s the kind of leader Virginia deserves.
