Here's the good news, team: last week, the House passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. This legislation will restore the Voting Rights Act of 1965 to outlaw racial discrimination in voting.
This is a huge victory, but here's the bad news: this legislation is expected to stall in the U.S. Senate, meaning our voting rights are still vulnerable to every attack.
