What was the moment for you? Was it the regal, green carpet entry? Maybe Judith's joy during her big, badass surprise? The moving chant from Phil Agnew? Or was it the surprise ending with the brass band? Whatever the moment, we are glad that you took out time to celebrate Advancement Project National Office's 20 year celebration with us. If you missed out, you did miss a good party in the name of the movement, but you still have many chances to be in community with us. The celebration has just begun.

Advancement Project National Office would like to send a special thanks to all who celebrated, performed, volunteered and built power with us over the last 20 years. It's now time to look at the work ahead of us for the next 20 as people of color prepare to be the majority in the U.S. As we promised, it's not a gala; it's a movement and we're ready to forge ahead with our work alongside you -- the Beloved Community. Whether or not you were able to join us you can continue to support us in our work.

We've kicked off our National Week of Action!

We are partnering with Players Coalition Charitable Foundation to call for a National Week of Action. Over the next week, we'll highlight our partners across the nation who are working to create #FreeAndSafe communities for people of color. We're urging you to get involved by taking action to address the issues that are most important to you.

You can do this by:

• Attending your local school board meeting to advocate for the decriminalization of Black and Brown youth in their learning environments.
• Providing sanctuary to those in need of protection from mass deportation.
• Educating your elected officials on the harmful effects of mass incarceration.
• Supporting laws that encourage election participation for all.
• ...and more!
