John, did you see this message from Secretary Steve Simon earlier?
He helped draft the guidelines to keep the far-right’s sham post-election audits in check. But that’s just one step to fighting the extremist candidates vying for Secretary of State positions.
Your support is a crucial piece of this puzzle. We need everyone to chip in before Tuesday night’s midnight deadline to support this movement and fight the far-right. [[link removed]]

John, my name is Steve Simon, and I’m Secretary of State of Minnesota. [[link removed]]
Last year’s general election was one of the most secure and efficient on record, despite historic challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic.
But the difficult political climate of 2020 also led to some unexpected and unfounded attacks on the election process. And many of those attacks have played out in the form of sham post-election audits.
Audits can be a valuable tool for verifying results, building faith in our elections, and giving transparency to voters so they can understand the process.
But when extreme partisans start making up new rules after the election, using inexperienced third parties to conduct “audits” with no oversight, it can damage our faith in democracy. That’s why I was proud to join recently with other secretaries of state to help draft guidelines for post-election audits to keep us all accountable nation-wide.
But DASS needs your help, John. Not every candidate is willing to play by the rules and accept legitimate results. Some candidates for secretary of state across the U.S. are dangerously partisan, and we have to make sure they don’t take offices from level-headed, pro-voter secretaries next year. [[link removed]]
DASS has a $125,000 end-of-month deadline coming up on Tuesday, and we absolutely can’t afford to fall short. Can you chip in $27 or more to support DASS and get us ready for 2022? We can’t do this without you! >>> [[link removed]]
