John -- I just got off the phone with Laura and she asked for an update on our August end-of-month fundraising.

Right now, we're about halfway to hitting our $15,000 goal. But halfway isn't good enough. I did some quick math, and we need to raise an average of $2,013 on every remaining email we send. I know that seems like a huge amount, but I've seen what this grassroots team can do in a pinch.
