John, our end-of-month deadline expires in just two days, so we wanted to share a few facts about this must-win race in Pennsylvania and why keeping our fundraising on track is so important:

1. This seat is currently under Republican control, but time and time again CNN ranks it the most likely to flip next November. The last time it was up for election, Democrats narrowly lost by 1.5 points — and with Biden’s win last year, our chances couldn’t be better.


2. See, Pat Toomey isn’t running for re-election, which means Val is running for an open seat — currently the *only* open Senate seat in a state where President Biden won in 2020. That makes Pennsylvania the best opportunity to help expand our razor-thin majority in the U.S. Senate.


3. But Mitch McConnell and Senate Republicans will stop at nothing to defend this seat and take back the Senate majority — so they’ve raised $58 million to defeat experienced, accomplished Democrats like Val. Senate Republicans have already poured money into attack ads in other battleground states and it’s only a matter of time before they launch bad-faith ads in Pennsylvania.

We can flip this seat if we have the resources we need to communicate what Val’s all about to voters across Pennsylvania.
