There’s Amazon and Walmart, two of the worst union-busting corporations in the world.
Big banks like Bank of America and JP Morgan top the list as well. So don’t hold your breath waiting to hear a call for higher taxes or criminal charges for Wall Street from the major outlets.
You have carbon-spewing car giants like General Motors and Ford. Then there’s Big Pharma and health insurance companies, the biggest opponents of Medicare for All and a global vaccine recipe-sharing program to help end the pandemic.
The corporate media will never bite the hand that feeds them. Corporations pay the bills and call the shots. That’s why nonprofit outlets like Common Dreams are essential. We take no corporate money. We’re funded by our readers alone. We’re accountable only to you, and that allows us to write the stories and lift up the voices that corporate media never will.
