Some big things have happened in the last few months that have shaken up the race for governor, and we need to be ahead of the game in order to keep our momentum going strong throughout this election.
1. Inside Elections rates this race as one of only six “battleground Democratic” elections. We’re up for a tough fight and a close race, so we must start building up our team today.
2. Betsy DeVos “says she is fully committed” to unseating me, and we know she is ready to pour millions of dollars into the race for governor.
3. A new PAC popped up this month, and all signs point to it supporting James Craig’s bid for governor. This signals that party insiders are going full steam ahead with James Craig, their handpicked candidate who is wrong for Michigan and refuses to answer tough questions about the fundamental issues facing Michiganders.
While we have a tough fight ahead of us, I know our team won’t back down.
