Hi there --
We just wanted to take a moment to say thank you for having Andy's back so often. Through thick and thin, this grassroots team has been there for him. We've weathered some tough times, but the fact that we've gotten through them shows what we can do when we stick together.
When Andy first ran for office in 2018, he did it because someone needed to step up and fight for health care coverage for his newborn son and millions of others with pre-existing conditions. The day Andy was elected, NJ-03 got a fierce advocate for working families. Ever since, Andy's been proving that politics grounded in empathy and civility are what we need to move our country forward.
When COVID-19 hit, Andy recognized that the pandemic doesn't distinguish between political parties. He worked to get Lysol to our paramedics and first responders, PPE to homebound caregivers and our most vulnerable neighbors, and critical resources to our community. Andy also fought for the American Rescue Plan, which delivered shots in arms, money in pockets, and people in jobs.
When insurrectionists attacked our Capitol on January 6, Andy showed we could all still have hope and courage. His simple act of clearing debris in the Rotunda reminded us that we can care for and defend our democracy.
When the AAPI community was targeted, Andy stepped up to publicly denounce Asian hate, support and recruit AAPI leaders, and highlight the resilience and contributions of the Asian American community. He always speaks up when he sees injustice.
Time and time again, Andy has shown that he is there for us.
And as one of only five Democrats running for re-election in a district that Trump also won, he needs our continued support. Just as we've had his back, he's always had ours. Andy is the type of leader who makes us optimistic because his actions inspire us to create a better future.
Thank you for being a part of this team.
Team Kim
