GOP State Senator calls for removal of Minnesota Department of Health Commissioner Jan Malcolm

Team,

If you didn’t think the Minnesota GOP could get any more irresponsible, think again.

At an anti-vaccination rally at the State Capitol yesterday, MN GOP Senate Human Services Chair Jim Abeler called for the removal of MDH Commissioner Jan Malcolm. GOP candidate for governor Scott Jensen also spoke, echoing conspiracy theories about health officials and the COVID-19 vaccine.

For more than 20 months, Commissioner Malcolm has worked around the clock to keep Minnesotans safe while facing a relentless barrage of bad-faith attacks by the Minnesota GOP.

Even as the Delta variant spreads alongside rampant right-wing COVID-19 misinformation, Minnesota Republicans have clearly learned nothing and continue to prove they are unable to put our health before politics. They must be held accountable.

We are immediately expanding our organizing efforts to fight back. To cover the costs, we must hit our August fundraising goal by Tuesday. Right now, we’re still more than $11,000 short.

Will you help us make up the difference? Contribute $10 (or whatever works for you today) to defend Commissioner Malcolm.

Thank you,

Team Walz-Flanagan
