We know that this time of year, you're probably not thinking about
politics or making donations.

Summer is winding down. Kids are going back to school. You might even be
receiving this email while taking one last summer weekend vacation.

But here at Common Dreams, we are reporting the news every day, 365 days
a year, covering issues like the climate emergency, the Afghan
withdrawal, and crucial political battles. We are lifting up voices that
the corporate media ignore.

We don't like asking for money any more than you like being asked. And
we'd love to be able to have a "summer break" on fundraising.

Unfortunately, that's not an option, because our ability to report the
news in a way that challenges the corporate status quo is directly
connected to our ability to fund our operations without taking corporate
