In a second, I’m going to be a little long-winded about the historic, bipartisan infrastructure plan I joined the Senate in passing earlier this month.

But first, I need to ask you to chip in to our campaign ahead of next week’s end-of-month deadline so I can keep fighting for transformative action like the infrastructure bill in Congress. [[link removed]]

This infrastructure bill is big. It’s the largest federal investment in our infrastructure in more than a decade, making a powerful impact on virtually every aspect of our economy and strengthening our response to the climate crisis.

Here’s a closer look at what’s in the bill:

ROADS, BRIDGES, TRANSIT: It would repair and replace crumbling roads and deficient bridges, making it easier and safer to get around.

CLIMATE RESILIENCY: It would jump-start our transition to a clean-energy economy and help us reach our climate goals by reducing emissions in public transit; ensuring access to safe, clean water; bulking up electric vehicle charging infrastructure; modernizing our electric grid and strengthening our clean-energy supply chains; supporting pollution cleanup; and making our infrastructure more climate-resilient in the face of extreme weather events.

BROADBAND: It would expand access to broadband, including to Native communities and low-income families.

STREET SAFETY: The package includes my bill to make it safer for pedestrians and bicyclists to use our roads and reduce the number of road crashes and deaths.

ECONOMY: It would create thousands of good jobs in Hawaii and millions across the country.

This is what I love about my job -- working on solutions that will have a profound impact on real people’s lives.

Your generous contributions to our campaign put me in the position to do this kind of work in Congress, so if you can, please consider chipping in before the deadline on Tuesday. [[link removed]]

Mahalo,

Brian
