From fighting back against corporate shills obstructing Congress to hosting a free concert for jobs, care, and climate in Philadelphia, it’s been a busy month, John.
We’ll be unpacking the organizing that the Working Families Party and allies did in August at the WFP Assembly tomorrow, Sunday, August 29 at 8:00 PM ET/5:00 PM PT.
Our virtual gathering will be joined by special guest Pennsylvania Senate Candidate (and Can’t Wait: Live speaker!) Malcolm Kenyatta, New York State Senator Jessica Ramos, and WFP organizers on the ground in West Virginia. Can you make it? Click here to RSVP, and we’ll send you the link to join.

The WFP Assembly is our monthly virtual gathering where we recommit ourselves to each other and the movement. As we continue to fight for robust infrastructure and reconciliation packages in Congress, it’s becoming increasingly clear to folks across the country that “not being a Republican” isn’t enough. If we don’t get active in the fight to elect true progressives, we end up with corrupt leaders and representatives who answer to corporate donors — not the people they represent.
That’s why the Working Families Party is supporting Malcolm Kenyatta for the United States Senate in Pennsylvania. As the only candidate in the race who’s ready to fight for racial justice, abortion rights, and our planet, Malcolm is the champion that Pennsylvanians deserve to have representing them in DC.
That’s also why we did not hesitate to call for the resignation of Governor Andrew Cuomo in New York. State Sen. Jessica Ramos will be speaking in the Assembly about how we move forward after Cuomo and build a brighter future for New York — with representatives who share our values and fight for working people.
To learn more about Malcom’s campaign for the U.S. Senate, the work to build our movement in New York, and WFP’s organizing across the country, sign up to join the WFP August Assembly now.
