Exciting news, team — United We Dream has been awarded the 2021 Clarence B. Jones Impact Award for our Home is Here efforts!
The Clarence B. Jones Impact Award — named after the civil rights icon — is given annually by The Communications Network to honor the game-changing effects of transformative storytelling and smart, strategic communications.
Our successful Home is Here campaign launched in 2019 as part of our fight to protect DACA recipients, their families, and all immigrant communities at the U.S. Supreme Court. This included everything from a first-of-its-kind video amicus brief filed with the Supreme Court to Congressional advocacy work in 2020 while we waited on a decision.
In selecting United We Dream as this year’s recipient, The Communications Network is recognizing the significant contributions of undocumented young people who were at the forefront of dreaming up and executing the strategy which contributed to our victory for DACA at the Supreme Court.
Impacted people are at the forefront of everything we do. They power our movement, and we strive to empower our members to move from a place of fear to a place of resilience, determination and strength.
And friend, the brilliant and innovative thinking that helped ensure we continue to win dignity and permanent protections for our community were entirely fueled by grassroots supporters like you.
Our Supreme Court victory in 2020 and this honor for our immigrant youth-led organization’s strategic efforts would not have been possible without you.
But our work did not end after the Supreme Court decision, and it continues on today in our ongoing fight for a pathway to citizenship for all undocumented people. Will you make a donation to United We Dream to help us achieve even more victories for our community?
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Thank you for all you do to support our movement. This award is for all of us.
