Yes on Recall: 46.3%
No on Recall: 50.6%
** Recall polling average 8.27.21 **
Here we go, John.
The election experts at
FiveThirtyEight. just updated the polling average in the Newsom recall. He's still
barely beating the Republican candidates: 46.3% to 50.6%.
The good news is that our efforts to reach more voters are working. We've seen a modest bump in likely voters who pledge to vote "NO" on the recall.
The bad news is that this polling proves the race could truly go either way. With voters casting ballots as we speak, we're continuing to sound the alarm and raise grassroots contributions directly to Newsom's campaign.
We have a strategy to beat this recall: 1.) Every single day is an opportunity to get out the vote for Gavin, and 2.) The more we sound the alarm and support Newsom's efforts directly, the more we can drive up the number of NO voters.
But we can't do that without your support:
Will you chip in $3 to help us beat back this far-right recall? We're short $36,817 of our $50,000 end-of-month goal. Remember: This is our last fundraising deadline before the election is over on September 14th. Any amount you give is split directly to Gavin's Stop the Recall.

If we lose, a far-right, anti-science, anti-vax, and pro-Trump candidates like Larry Elder takes over as the top executive of our state. He's pledged to roll back all the preventive COVID-19 measures California has in place.
On top of that, our ability to defend the House becomes less likely if the GOP is in control of our state.
We can't let that happen.
