New Leaders Council may look a lot different, but at our core, we're still committed to supporting a new kind of leader. Our alumni are moving our country forward - and creating a more sustainable and equitable future for all of us.

NLC is moving forward, too. We’re excited to share our new brand identity that matches the energy and spirit of our community of changemakers - and the story behind it.

Why the new look? Starting with the first weekend of the NLC Institute, our Fellows experience how stories shape who we are individually and collectively. Each of the nearly 10,000 NLC alumni over the last 15 years is connected through this shared experience. Our stories fuel our drive for progress. Our stories build trust and understanding across differences. Our stories have the power to create the country we aspire to be.

NLC's new brand means so much more than a makeover. It is about uplifting the stories of local leaders who know what their communities need and know how to lead in this moment.

New Website: Check out how the NLC leaderful model with nearly 50 chapters has created an ecosystem of leaders making collective impact for social and political change.

This brand identity coincides with a new strategic plan for the organization, which was created in collaboration with NLC community members. Going forward, our movement is dedicated to supporting proximate leaders who center equity and build trust. Who reflect the communities they serve. Who connect across identities, industries, and issues to make a collective impact.

New Vision: Building power among the leaders closest to their communities will create the country we aspire to be. NLC is where new voices, new ideas, and new leaders connect to make progress real.

New Mission: NLC develops, connects, and uplifts inclusive, cross-sectors leaders who transform our country through social and political change rooted in equity.

New Values: While these values were always important to the NLC community, we are proud to clarify what we believe in.
