Hey everyone, Gavin Newsom here.

Tonight is our final official fundraising deadline of this partisan Republican-led recall campaign.

What I am asking you to do today is to make a donation – of any amount you can afford. Because when this deadline ends, not only are we legally required to report how much money we raise, but we will also share the number of donations we have received.

And I want to report a lot of donations because each one sends a message to the people of California about the level of grassroots support and enthusiasm our campaign has received.

For many people it may be the last thing they see before they vote.

So that's our goal. A lot of donations. As many as we can get before midnight. So I'm asking you:

Can I count on you to add one more donation – $3 or whatever you can afford – before our midnight fundraising deadline comes to a close and we are legally required to report our fundraising numbers?
