John,
Remember the huge flood of fraudulent anti-net neutrality comments that bombarded the FCC? A bombshell investigation just found the smoking gun: proof that these comments were funded by lobbyists for Comcast and AT&T.1
A two-year investigation by BuzzFeed News documents how AT&T and Comcast paid to generate at least 1.5 million fraudulent comments in favor of repealing net neutrality—all while FCC chair Ajit Pai looked the other way.
Fight for the Future was one of the first groups to uncover these fraudulent comments, and we built a tool to make it easy for people to find out if their personal info had been used. And we're going to see the fight for net neutrality through to the bitter end.

When the FCC proposes a major change in policy, the agency is required to accept and consider feedback from the public. This public comment period is an important part of the process to ensure that government agencies are fully vetting the impacts of their proposals.
But in this case, a huge number of fraudulent comments generated by Big Cable were counted in the official tally. The investigative journalists at Buzzfeed call this “the most prolific known instance of political impersonation in U.S. history.”2
Ajit Pai repeatedly tried to stonewall investigations into the fake comments, but the journalists at BuzzFeed didn't give up. Now we know the truth: AT&T, Comcast and other ISPs paid shadowy public relations firms Media Bridge and LCX to generate at least 1.5 million fake comments.
Big Cable lied through their teeth to repeal net neutrality. Now, Big Cable lobbyists are swarming Congress with more lies to pass a bill that would make the repeal of net neutrality permanent and block states or any future president from protecting the free and open Internet.
Comcast and AT&T are so corrupt that they'll do anything to kill net neutrality—including impersonating dead people. But Fight for the Future has been on the cutting edge of the fight for net neutrality for years, and we won't quit. Will you donate monthly to help make our game changing work possible?
Yes, I'll become a monthly donor to help save net neutrality.
