John,
Earlier in the month, we saw Rep. Cori Bush spend the beginning days of the House recess protesting in front of the Capitol, even sleeping outside, to demand her colleagues come back to prevent the eviction moratorium from expiring.
Only a handful of members joined her. The rest got on flights to their homes, vacations, and excursions -- all while a number of their constituents were at risk of being pushed
out of their homes.
We need more leaders like Rep. Bush in Congress. Leaders that are willing to camp outside in the rain in protest. Leaders that
always put the best interest of their constituents before their own. Leaders that are dedicated to truly representing the people. Leaders that
are everyday people.
Together, we can elect leaders like Rep. Bush. There are folks running for office on the local, state, and federal level that are dedicated to the liberation of Black people, and that are overwhelmingly ready to invest in our communities so that Black people can thrive.
John, it's up to us to ensure these leaders have the resources they need to succeed. By donating, you're backing the campaigns of leaders across the country that are dedicated to serving.

There are countless people running for office across the country that will fight just as hard as Rep. Bush. They believe in putting in work for the people day and night and never letting up on what's right, especially when it comes to things like housing and infrastructure that disproportionately impact Black people.
Leadership
for the people is something that has been lacking in Congress for years. That's because Congress is made up of a bunch of people that don't look like the rest of this country.
Every donation toward our end-of-month fundraiser will fuel our efforts toward electing bold leaders dedicated to Black liberation -- from Congress to state legislatures, city councils, and beyond. Please donate
$5
or whatever you can to help back these campaigns that matter most.
In love and solidarity,
