This is outrageous. I’m furious at the announcement that families in New Jersey will see an 8.7% average cost increase on their 2020 health plans through the marketplace.

Families in New Jersey and across the United States are suffering; they are skipping meals to afford their insulin, they’re cutting their pills in half, they’re living in fear of a medical emergency that would literally bankrupt them.

Make no mistake -- this is a result of the barrage of attacks on the Affordable Care Act. And, frankly, I’ve had enough of this. If you have too, sign this petition now. [link removed]

I’ve proudly co-sponsored the Health Insurance Tax Relief Act of 2019, which stops the tax on health care plans in its tracks and provides relief for families whose premiums would increase from the Health Insurance Tax.

We need relief for our families and we need it now.

I will keep working across the aisle to protect our health care and deliver common-sense tax cuts for 5th District families.

Join me in calling out this shameful hike in health insurance premiums. We’re the strongest, most innovative country in the world and this is a problem we can solve, but we need to do this together.
