I hate to sound alarmist, John, but I need to be totally honest with yinz:
Flipping this seat blue + defending our slim Democratic majority will mean EVERYTHING in 2022. Our success will determine if we can deliver on Joe Biden's agenda for working families — or if Mitch McConnell will regain his stranglehold on the Senate and block any progress for working people and their families.
I *swear* I'm not saying this to scare you on this fine Saturday. But this is how high the stakes are. It's why I joined this race to represent PA in the Senate and gain that 51st vote that will unlock so much progress in our country.
It's also why my campaign and I set a critically important goal to raise another $84,172 directly into the Flip Pennsylvania Fund before the month ends.
As of now, we're still pretty far behind. And according to the records we have on file for you, John, you have yet to make your first contribution to our campaign. That's why, with just three days to close this pretty sizable gap on our goal, I've just got to ask you:
I know I may joke around sometimes, but I take public service incredibly seriously.
I believe it's a solemn responsibility to serve the people + families who built this country. But right now, Republicans — and even a few Democrats — are failing to deliver on that promise.
If you trust me with your support today, I can offer you this: I will fight relentlessly to flip this seat in 2022. And when we pull it off, I guarantee you I will NOT be a Joe Manchin or Kyrsten Sinema-type senator.
Instead, I would proudly cast that 51st vote Democrats need in the Senate to pass common-sense legislation and deliver President Biden’s agenda to the American people. 💪
