<[link removed]> Governor Hogan Statement on Attack at Kabul
Airport
<[link removed]>
“We are devastated and outraged by the murder of American service members and
all who lost their lives in today’s horrific violence. The First Lady and I are
praying for their loved ones, and we ask all Marylanders to join us.

“This administration’s decisions have put the lives of thousands of Americans
at the mercy of terrorists. We cannot continue to rely on their goodwill.

“The President pledged to get every American out of Afghanistan. I urge him to
stay true to his word. We must not leave any Americans behind and risk that
they suffer the same fate.”

"Even in our darkest days, America is a force for good in the world, and the
men and women of our armed forces are the best we have to offer. God bless our
troops."

 —Governor Larry Hogan

Incredible heroism by veterans of the Afghan war who saved the lives of
hundreds of our allies. This selflessness from our service members is
remarkable, but not uncommon. They represent the best of America. God bless
them and keep them safe.[link removed] <[link removed]>

Giving local leaders and the community the freedom and flexibility to make
decisions is a basic conservative principle. Instead of top-down mandates from
the state, that’s the successful approach we’ve taken here in Maryland.

We have been urging the Biden administration to take this action, and our
public health team has been actively preparing a detailed plan for the
utilization of boosters for the past several months.[link removed]
