John,

We've got some good news for you (and Hilary -- see below)!

Hundreds of you signed our petition to demand Congress make prescription drugs more affordable -- and now we have two exciting updates for you:

-- According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office, the Lower Drug Costs Now Act will effectively lower the cost of prescription drugs and save Medicare $345 billion. Dwight and his House colleagues are trying to bring it to the floor for a vote as soon as the end of the month!

-- Dwight just introduced the Helping Seniors Afford Health Care Act to get 4.6 million of our seniors access to low-cost (and often life-saving) drugs offered under the Medicare Savings Program.

But we need to keep the pressure up, John! Sign our petition to demand Congress take immediate action to ensure all Americans have access to the health care they need and deserve -- no matter how much money they make.

Hey,

Every three months, Hilary -- a type 1 diabetic -- has to purchase a supply of insulin costing around $1,700. And in the case of an emergency, she must have glucagon kits on hand that run around $250 apiece.

On top of that, her son has diabetes too, doubling the costs.

But for Hilary, being able to purchase and stock life-saving medication isn't just unmanageable, it's a matter of life and death -- a story too many Americans know.

Folks across the country are being crushed by the rapidly rising costs of prescription drugs -- and it's got to stop. There's no reason why we can't both incentivize companies to develop life-saving drugs, while also making sure that the patients who need them can afford these drugs. That's why Dwight recently helped introduce the Lower Drug Costs Now Act.

Change happens collectively. And together, we can reformulate the status quo to become a society that cares for those with illnesses without bankrupting them, or forcing folks to dangerously ration their medications.

Dwight is fighting for health care solutions that will make all Philadelphians' lives better -- not just the wealthy. If you're with him, add your name today >> [link removed]

Thanks,

Michael
