Hi John,
This is outrageous. Only 11% of the rental assistance Congress made available has made it to renters.
I stand for keeping people in their homes. Can you make a quick donation now to help me win?
3.5 million people are at risk of eviction, and the Supreme Court just struck down the eviction moratorium.
Why did this happen? Congress designed the rental assistance program poorly. The American Prospect called it “a law designed not to work.”
Why would Congress create the rental assistance funds but make them impossible to disburse? So members of Congress get the “optics” of helping people — but don’t actually hurt the pocketbooks of their real estate donors.
My opponent Derek Kilmer has taken $356,195 from real estate. I’ve taken none, because I don’t take ANY corporate money. That leaves me free to advocate for:
🏠 National rent control
🏠 Vacancy tax
🏠 12 million new units of social housing
I’m fighting for the boldest housing policy this nation has even seen. If you support it, please donate here to help me fight for Housing for All in Congress:
