‌John -- The Republican-controlled Texas State House just passed the now-infamous voter suppression bill, SB1. It’s likely that soon Governor Abbott will be able to sign this anti-democracy bill into law.

The Texas legislature will almost immediately pivot to drawing the next decade of legislative maps, so it’s only a matter of time before these vote suppressors become map manipulators. Politicians in Georgia and Florida have also foreshadowed their intentions in redistricting with voter suppression legislation.

John, I don’t raise this point to discourage you. I raise it to underscore the intentions of our opponents -- and the intention our movement needs to demonstrate in our response.

Will you donate to All On The Line to demonstrate the strength of our movement right now?

Conservative politicians are working hard to undermine our elections because they understand that fair maps and fair elections go hand-in-hand. If they can prevent enough people from making their voices heard at the ballot box, it’ll be harder to throw officials who enable map manipulation out of office -- and the cycle will become harder to break.

Here’s what we’re doing to break the cycle.

On the national level -- All On The Line is advocating for the Senate to pass both the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act by connecting people with their representatives and senators. This campaign is making it easier for people to write letters to the editor with an easy-to-use tool.

On the state level -- AOTL is mobilizing people on the ground to attend redistricting hearings, and equipping them with the tools they’ll need to be successful through an array of local, specialized trainings. Our team also alerts supporters whenever state legislatures are trying to pass bad bills and unfair maps so we can organize and combat voter suppression efforts and gerrymandering through the power of the grassroots.

You can join us in our fight and do your part to safeguard our democracy by making a donation of any amount to support our national and state-by-state efforts for fair maps and fair elections. Can I count on your support?

We can’t afford anything other than a decisive win for our democracy during redistricting.

Thank you,
