There’s one part of the election process most voting rights advocates overlook. It could be a crucial weakness – and we need to protect it. Democracy Docket has the scoop:

Congress is hard at work trying to hammer out voting rights legislation that would protect the registration and voting process. After all, that’s what the GOP has targeted with their more than 400 laws introduced since the election.

Donald Trump interrupted a centuries-old tradition of the peaceful transfer of power by fighting “tooth and nail” to disrupt the system, as Democracy Docket reports. He tried to pressure local officials into ignoring their duties and disregarding votes for Joe Biden.
