Rana Abdelhamid is a New York native and entrepreneur.

A daughter of Egyptian immigrants, when Rana was sixteen, a man ripped her
hijab off and assaulted her.

She then learned self-defense and started a community-centered non-profit
organization that has helped train thousands of women around the world in
self-defense and anti-hate crime advocacy.

Rana is running a true grassroots campaign and is one of the most fearless
progressives in the nation.

She is going to fight for affordable housing, racial justice, and
comprehensive immigration reform and is already building a broad coalition
