The Washington Post just did one of the first major polls of Virginians this year and we have some good news: Virginia Democrats have some serious momentum heading into the last month of the election. We wanted to share some of the numbers with you first:

• Voters support Democrats over Republicans in the upcoming House of Delegates races 49-42%.
• 6 out of 10 voters say they’re “certain” to vote, which is right where enthusiasm was before the 2017 elections that sparked the blue wave.
• Voters are fired up about key Democratic issues like gun safety measures, healthcare, and education. 88% of voters support universal background checks and 82% support a red flag law -- more proof that the NRA-backed Republicans are out of touch with what voters really want.

These are strong numbers for Democrats but we need to keep the momentum up as we head into the final days before the election. Can you chip in now to help elect the leaders Virginians deserve?

Thanks to your support, all of the work we're doing to spread the word about our Democratic candidates is being noticed. But the results are still close and we can't take our foot off the gas now.

The Washington Post concluded that voters only "narrowly prefer Democrats over Republicans." And we know how close these elections can be. In 2017, control of the House of Delegates literally came down to a coin flip. There's no doubt that Republicans are going to pour even more money into Virginia after seeing this poll showing them not far behind.
