We wanted to send along an important update on the work Aaron and his team at the Attorney General’s office are doing for the people of Nevada. Here are just a few highlights of what he’s been up to lately:

• Aaron and his office are fighting back against the scourge of illegal robocalls. Robocall scammers are more than an annoyance — they are dangerous, illegal, and oftentimes prey on the goodwill of Nevadans by presenting themselves as legitimate charitable organizations. That’s why Aaron’s office is working hard to protect Nevadans by shutting down these types of scammers for good.

• Aaron prevailed in a lawsuit by Ahern Convention Center regarding COVID-occupancy restrictions. Last year, Ahern Convention Center sued the state challenging Nevada’s COVID-19 emergency orders. Aaron knows these emergency directives are designed to keep Nevadans safe and healthy. This victory shows that the state has a responsibility to protect families from a deadly virus while also balancing rights as individuals.

• Aaron is cracking down on fake COVID-19 vaccination cards. As many businesses and organizations require proof of vaccination for members of the public to attend events, Aaron is warning Nevadans that buying, making and selling fake vaccine cards is not only a danger to public health, but is also against the law.

So while Aaron is working hard and coming through for us, we need to come through for him. Team, there will be many more tough challenges ahead as we work to rebuild a stronger Nevada, and we need to make sure Aaron has the resources to keep up this important work.
