John, this is a long but important email about the students I serve and why I'm running to unseat Kevin McCarthy in CA-23. I hope you'll take a moment to read it, then chip in $3 to support my campaign.

I've been a public school teacher for 20 years here in the Central Valley.

For some families, back to school week is an exciting time.

For many others, it's a reminder of the struggle to make ends meet. I see it every year, John. The difficulty with the cost of school supplies and clothes. Parents arranging rides for their kids because they can't leave work.

Our community struggles more than most. That's why I was so encouraged to see Democrats pass anti-poverty legislation like the expanded child tax credit. It may not seem like much, but that extra few hundred dollars is going a long way for the kiddos I teach.

John, how a person could know our kids are struggling yet still vote against their interests is beyond me. But that's exactly what Kevin McCarthy did when he tried to crush the child tax credit in Congress. Frankly, it's inexcusable.

Here's the blunt truth:

McCarthy is more interested in getting his hands on the Speaker's gavel than fighting for any students in our community. It's sickening, and it's time for McCarthy to go.

Our community is ready, but winning will take A TON of supporters chipping in small amounts to help us get our message out. So I need to ask:
