MARCH ON FOR VOTING RIGHTS, DC
In 1963 hundreds of thousands of people traveled to Washington, D.C. for the March On Washington to demand voting rights for Black Americans. On August 28th, the 58th anniversary of the March On Washington, we’re marching once more to call for a democracy where all Americans finally have full and equal rights. We will march for voting rights. We will march for D.C. statehood. We will march to ensure Black and Brown Americans have full access to our democracy.
Planned Parenthood Advocates for DC, Maryland, and NoVa would like to invite you to join us for the March On For Washington and Voting Rights TOMORROW, August 28, 2021!

Join our efforts this weekend in Northern Virginia to make a real impact in elections!
The stakes are too high. We must do everything we can to keep our country moving forward, not backward, on reproductive rights. Virginia has made incredible strides for reproductive rights over the last few years, but that can be reversed if anti-reproductive health officials take back power. This election is critical to preserving the progress and continuing forward in the pursuit of accessible healthcare for all. That’s why we’ll be working overtime to make sure people and their families know what's at stake for reproductive rights.

Wendy is running for re-election as the Delegate for House District 10 in Virginia.
The shift starts at 1:00 pm, so if you're carpooling from DC, we'll meet at 11:45 am at the Capitol One Cafe on 7th and H St NW just outside the Chinatown-Gallery Place Metro.

Planned Parenthood of Metropolitan Washington, DC's Developing Leader's Program
There's still time to apply for PPMW's Developing Leaders Program! Applications for the 2021-2022 cohort are now live and will be open until midnight on September 3. During this 9-month long program, you'll delve deeply into learning to be a more effective advocate and activist in the reproductive health, rights, and justice space.
