The Supreme Court’s conservative majority sent a clear message this week: until we restore the integrity of the Supreme Court, unelected right-wing judges will continue to impose their policy whims regardless of the law or the will of the people.

Last night, in one fell swoop, the stolen Supreme Court majority gave their blessing to mass evictions — endangering millions who now face the prospect of living on the streets during a pandemic without a roof over their heads.
This cruel decision came less than 48 hours after the Court, in another partisan 6-3 decision (that was only 4 sentences long), ruled to require the Biden Administration to reinstate Trump’s cruel and inhumane 'Remain in Mexico' policy, putting vulnerable children, women, and men — who already credibly fear for their lives — in further danger.
It is abundantly clear now that the stolen Court is on a crusade to hurt the most vulnerable among us at every opportunity.

This week’s decisions are the latest examples of how Republicans have captured the courts to enact far-right and unpopular policies in the form of judicial decision-making. And these back-to-back rulings are perhaps the Supreme Court’s most blatantly political statements yet.
With this latest decision on the “Remain in Mexico” policy, the Supreme Court is openly dictating U.S. foreign policy and not even bothering to explain why. And with their decision to strike down the eviction moratorium, countless Americans — still trudging through pandemic recovery — are now in grave danger of losing the roof over their heads.
