Tomorrow marks the 58th anniversary of the historic March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom of 1963 -- a galvanizing moment in the Civil Rights Movement.

The fight to advance civil rights did not end on that historic day in Washington, D.C.; today we continue to fight to make the promise of our democracy a reality for every American.

After Black and Brown voters, young voters, and voters with disabilities made their voices heard in record numbers in the 2020 elections, lawmakers across the country have introduced more than 400 voter suppression bills.

Again, we find ourselves at a pivotal moment in voting rights history -- and we need all hands on deck. Tomorrow, voting rights leaders, organizers, and advocates just like you are marching on Washington, Atlanta, Miami, Houston, Phoenix, and across America to protect our sacred right to vote.

We’re asking you to join us this weekend to honor the leaders of the past, present, and tomorrow who lead the fight to build a more inclusive democracy. Here are a few ways you can take action:

🗳️ Get your family, friends, and community registered and ready to vote. Every year is an election year, and making sure your voter registration status is up-to-date is one of the quickest and most impactful ways we can fight voter suppression in our daily lives. Take action this weekend by making sure your community is ready to make their voices heard at the ballot box here.

☎️ Call your senators. Right now, the Senate has the power to pass two landmark voting rights laws -- the For the People Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. It has never been more important for the Senate to ensure equal and unimpeded access to the ballot box.
