These precious early moments of the cycle are moments we'll wish we had back next year if we miss our goal.
Hitting this goal means we can build a well-resourced voter outreach program, open up our first office, and hire full-time campaign staff -- all before our Republican opponents have the chance to counter our work.
In short, it helps build the strong foundation we'll need to win progress; progress that impacts our day-to-day lives.
But if we don't stay on track and reach our fundraising goals now, we'll have to work twice as hard to make up for lost time in the months ahead.
