** Meet Jamia Wilson
------------------------------------------------------------

“My own Black feminist ancestors by blood and through spirit taught me to understand feminism through questions about who is left out and who is on the margins. How can we move the people who know most about the issues their communities are facing to the center instead of the sidelines?”

Meet Jamia Wilson, author of This Book is Feminist: ([link removed]) An Intersectional Primer for Next-Gen Changemakers. Jamia is a feminist activist, writer, and speaker, and the featured author at Women Funded 2021: The Feminist Factor. Jamia’s groundbreaking new work is one of the featured items conference participants will receive from the Feminist Book Club that includes a carefully curated selection of goods from women and women of color owned small businesses.

Register for Women Funded 2021 ([link removed]) to hear Jamia discuss why she wrote this book, why it matters, and what it means to build the tools for a new generation of feminist leaders and changemakers.

While a children’s book ([link removed]) is a unique choice for a global feminist conference, Jamia’s writing and Aurélia’s illustrations examine global intersectional feminism in accessible language for all ages and speaks to our shared goal to nurture and advance multigenerational feminist ideals.

Thank you to the Feminist Book Club ([link removed]) , Quarto Publishing ([link removed]) , and Jamia Wilson ([link removed]) for making it possible to include copies of This Book is Feminist: An Intersectional Primer for Next-Gen Changemakers ([link removed]) in this year’s conference welcome gift.
