Friend,

Yesterday I had the honor of talking to DC Police Officer Michael Fanone, one of the many law enforcement officers who stood tall to defend our Capitol and our democracy on January 6th. His story is harrowing, and his message couldn’t be more important.

I’m struck by one thing he said during our RAM Chat:

“I’m a regular, average - probably below average - human being. Any one of us can take a stand against injustice. If you just tell the truth about your experience...you can have a massive impact and effect on not just your immediate community, but the greater community at large.”

It was inspiring to hear his outlook on how each and every one of us can stand up for a better tomorrow. We won’t all have to stare down a violent insurrection, but we do all have the power to be a force for good in America if we just commit to the truth.

If you missed our chat live, you can catch up any time to hear his thoughts on how we get America to take the offramp from extremism, or why he’s concerned another January 6th could be coming.

Next week we’re talking to another American hero who stood up for the truth: Lieutenant Colonel Alexander Vindman. Make sure to mark your calendar for next Thursday at 7PM Eastern for another great talk with another great American. And don’t forget to share our RAM Chats with your friends and communities.

Onward,

Miles Taylor
