After 20 painful years of occupation in Afghanistan, the United States has
an urgent moral responsibility to ensure that women and other vulnerable
groups have a safe passage to safety.
That's why Women's March is urging women and feminists near Washington,
D.C. to join us for an important show of solidarity with Afghan women.

This Sunday, we will convene with partner organizations at the Vital
Voices Headquarters for Women's Leadership at 1509 16th Street NW,
Washington, D.C. We'll then march directly to the White House to demand
urgent action from President Biden and his administration.
Together in front of the White House, we will demand action to ensure the
safety of women in the ongoing evacuation efforts in Kabul. Currently,
U.S. citizens and visa holders are unable to leave the country because the
airport remains dangerous and inaccessible, and clear criteria for
evacuation have yet to be established.
Women and feminists will gather to boldly demand the swift creation of a
process of evacuation for at-risk populations such as women, journalists,
human rights activists, scholars at risk, teachers, judges, and civil
servants. But our demands will only be heard with enough support and
solidarity, so please consider joining us in-person if you are able.
