“Climate change is here, now. But we are also here, now. And if we don’t act, who will?”

Dear John

“Climate change is here now. But we are also here now. And if we don’t act, who will?” – Inger Anderson, UN Environment Programme

This month’s climate report from the IPCC came with scientists’ starkest warning yet about global heating – “a code red for humanity”.

The report was clear: it’s not too late to make a difference, but we must act now. There’s no time for delays, distractions, or empty promises.

This November, the world’s leaders will meet in Glasgow for the UN climate talks. Will you add your name to show you want wealthy nations to take urgent action to protect lives and livelihoods from climate breakdown?

STOP PLANS FOR A CLIMATE-WRECKING NEW COAL MINE
Next month, a public inquiry to decide the fate of a proposed new coal mine in West Cumbria is set to begin. If given the green light by the government, the mine would have disastrous impacts on our climate – worsening a crisis that’s already devastating lives and livelihoods for people across the world.

Will you sign our petition calling on the government to stop the mine, end the era of coal and start investing in the climate-friendly jobs we need for a greener, safer future?
