The House select committee examining the January 6th insurrection has revealed a new major target of their investigation: the months of effort to steal the election before President Trump’s incitement of mob violence.
The committee is demanding all documents and communications related to discussions of intentions to delay, halt or impede the electoral count in Congress.
This will shed light on the December 21st meeting Trump held in the While House with many of his loyalists including Jim Jordan. They discussed getting Mike Pence to invalidate President Biden’s electors in Congress.
This means the investigation is even more likely to implicate Jim Jordan and other Republican extremists for their role in the insurrection.
Jim Jordan has been Donald Trump’s #1 co-conspirator and defender. He deserves to be held accountable for January 6th and the role he played in undermining our democracy.
