John,

The GOP has a new response to the accusation that their voter suppression is racist. Their clever response is that when debating this racist bill, no one is allowed to say the word “racism.”

Great strategy, y’all. Silencing legislators of color that have been fighting voter suppression in Texas for decades will definitely send the message that you want.

This racist bill is about to be implemented by racist politicians. So, while the Texas Democrats are still fighting against this bill, we are also working. We are working to expand, not restrict, voting rights in Texas.

Vote From Home is supporting the legislators that are fighting back, and we will hold accountable the GOP legislators pushing this bill. Plans like ours that include grassroots organizing and fighting back misinformation will be the key to winning. Can you support us by chipping in $25?

This Texas bill has been slowly moving forward for months. But it now looks like the GOP has the momentum they need to pass it.

If passed, this bill will ban drive-thru voting, limit early voting and give more powers to poll watchers trying to intimidate voters.

Our efforts to protect voting rights will not be curtailed by Republicans not allowing us to call them out. We hope we can count on you.

Thank You,
Vote From Home
------------
Vote From Home is a grassroots movement that's fighting to expand vote-by-mail. We helped thousands of Democrats vote safely from home in Pennsylvania, Michigan, North Carolina and Georgia in 2020 and 2021. Now we're focused on stopping politicians and legislation who are making it harder for Americans to vote by mail. Please forward this email if you know someone who may be interested. Our average gift is just under $39 so consider donating that today to support voting rights: [link removed]
