When Democratic Attorneys General have a seat at the table, accountability happens.
Friend, back in January, Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel sought disciplinary action against pro-Trump attorneys like Sidney Powell and Lin Wood for attempting to overturn the 2020 presidential election results in Michigan and disenfranchise voters. Yesterday, a federal judge sided with AG Nessel in an exhaustive 110-page decision!
That’s right, friend – thanks to the actions of AG Nessel and her team, these Big Lie proponents will face real consequences for their “frivolous” lawsuit. But across the country, Donald Trump’s cronies are still working to undermine our elections and keep the Big Lie alive. Will you rush a donation today to make sure Dem AGs nationwide can keep them in check?
Judge Linda Parker’s ruling against the Big Lie perpetrators was beyond scathing. In addition to recommending them for investigation and possible suspension or disbarment, she called their actions “a historic and profound abuse of the judicial process.”
Last night on Lawrence O’Donnell, AG Nessel had this to add:
"I’m relieved at Judge Parker’s findings, her conclusions...she issued each and every one of the requests that we have made...in terms of what we believe the sanctions should be."
We cannot let people who would undermine elections and disenfranchise voters in order to cement Donald Trump’s legacy continue to gain a foothold in our democracy.
Democratic AGs truly are “The People’s Lawyers” and DAGA is the only party committee devoted to electing more of them. Since 2016, we’ve won two-thirds of our targeted races, and with more than 30 AG seats up for grabs in the next two years, we need your support – will you chip in today?
