[1]Bowman for Congress

Hey John, it's
Jamaal.

This Saturday, on the 58th anniversary of the March on Washington and
MLK's "I Have a Dream" speech, I will be joining the March On For Voting
Rights in Washington, D.C. in defense of voting rights and our collective
pursuit of a true multiracial democracy.

Together, both in D.C. and at sister rallies all over the country,
thousands of us will be standing up and speaking out against the constant
attempts to suppress our votes and our voice — and I want to make sure
your voice is heard, too.

[ [link removed] ] John, the
work to combat voter suppression must be a collective effort — the more
people that join this movement, the stronger our message will be. Will you
add your name to join me and thousands of others as we march to protect
our voting rights in the fight for a true multiracial democracy?

On Tuesday, the House passed the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act
in efforts to expand access to the ballot box — and not a single House
Republican voted in support of the bill. Since January, Republicans have
introduced more than 400 extreme voter suppression bills in up to 49
states.

Instead of working to ensure that all of our voices are heard,
establishment Democrats like Sen. Kyrsten Sinema and Joe Manchin are
choosing to uphold obstructionist processes like the filibuster to keep
Washington in the pockets of their corporate donors.

These voter suppression laws will make access to the ballot box even
harder by reducing the number of polling places, limiting vote-by-mail
options, extending voting poll lines, and even criminalizing those who
give water to voters waiting in these egregiously long lines.

Our communities are calling out for change, and every obstacle placed in
our way is one more attempt to silence our collective voice. It's time
that we shift the power back into the hands of the people,
John. [ [link removed] ]Please add your name
and stand in solidarity with me and thousands of others as we march to
protect the future of our multiracial democracy.

Peace and love,

Jamaal Bowman
