**B Stands for Busy**

Good afternoon,

As August recess comes to a close - and Congress prepares to return to
Washington - the Forum is preparing for a busy fall. Immigration
topics are dominating the headlines, from the evacuation of our allies
in Afghanistan to the Democrats' gambit to provide pathways to
citizenship for Dreamers, TPS holders, and farmworkers via budget
reconciliation. The U.S.-Mexico border also continues to draw attention
and concern, with CBP's July data

showing the largest number of border apprehensions in 20 years. And just
this week, the Supreme Court ruled

that the Biden administration must reinstate the Migration Protection
Protocols (MPP), or the "Remain in Mexico" policy.
