NCRC Submits Comment Supporting HUD’s Proposed Disparate Impact Rule
The National Community Reinvestment Coalition (NCRC) today submitted a comment letter to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), applauding HUD for its proposed rule setting the standard for bringing disparate impact claims under the Fair Housing Act. Thirty-five state and local groups signed on in support of NCRC’s comment. [Read more ([link removed]) ]

NCRC, CRL, And NCLC File Joint Letter Opposing Acquisition Of Liberty Bank
The FDIC should reject the change in control application from KMD Partners to purchase Liberty Bank. This change in control would merge a bank that has not met the needs of its community with an online lender that has a record of issuing high-cost installment loans, led by individuals with experience in payday lending and rent-a-bank schemes. NCRC Comment On HUD’s Proposed Disparate Impact Rule
The National Community Reinvestment Coalition and the undersigned organizations would like to applaud the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for this proposed rule, which would recodify the 2013 standard for disparate impact theory. [Read more ([link removed]) ]

2020 HMDA Preliminary Analysis
In 2020, the HMDA data included over 25 million Loan Application Records (LAR). These applications resulted in 14.5 million loan originations, 5.2 million more loan originations than were reported in 2019. [Read more ([link removed]) ]

Massachusetts CRA for Mortgage Companies: A Good Starting Point for Federal Policy
