John,
President Biden recently announced that many Americans will be eligible
for booster doses this fall. While this announcement is an important step
toward protecting the health of Americans, we won’t stem the spread and
impact of the virus and end this pandemic until vaccines are available in
every country, including the world’s poorest. In order to save lives,
reduce the emergence of variants, and stop the spread of COVID-19, the
U.S. and wealthy countries must share more doses immediately.
John, will you sign our petition encouraging President Biden to
accelerate sharing much needed vaccines with low-income countries?

Right now, only 1.4 percent of people in low-income countries have
received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose. That means healthy, young
individuals in the U.S. will be eligible for a 3rd shot of protection
before many healthcare workers in Africa can get a single dose. Thus far,
the United States has led the world in donating doses, but we know that
the U.S. and other wealthy countries can do more to get vaccines to
countries in need.
The longer we allow the virus to spread and mutate around the world, the
more waves of infections and variants we will see. Join us and [ [link removed] ]sign the
petition today!
Thank you,
Brett Jacobson, Campaigns Team
