John, After years of tireless advocacy, the 19th Amendment was certified 101 years ago today, giving white women the right to vote. Since then, we’ve seen our democracy grow to become more representative and inclusive, with women leading at every level of government. But we can never take progress for granted. So far this year, at least 18 states enacted 30 laws that restrict access to the vote, and hundreds of other harmful bills are under consideration. We need to honor those hard won civil rights victories by lending our own voices to the conversation. Learn more about the For the People Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and how they would strengthen voting rights → I want to learn more about the Freedom to Vote! Thank you for lending your voice. In solidarity, Olivia -Olivia Guerrieri |
